Steven is the Program Director, RISE Program – Southeast Techhub

Steven Hansen brings over a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a career that spans service rigs, battery operations, and running his own service company. This hands-on background gives him a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in energy operations. Combined with his knowledge of computer science, Steven has built a career at the intersection of industry and technology—focusing on how digital tools can drive efficiency, safety, and growth.

He is also the founder of StreamTECH, a cloud-based business management platform designed to digitize and optimize safety, compliance, equipment management, and workforce operations. Building on this, Steven is now leading the development of Operation Excellence, an advanced system that expands StreamTECH’s fundamentals to digitize daily energy operations. By consolidating operational data into a single hub, energy companies can unlock trends, metrics, and insights—empowering operators to save time, diagnose issues faster, and make more informed decisions.

At SETH, Steven directs the RISE Program, where he works with rural innovators and entrepreneurs to leverage technology and build new opportunities for Southeast Saskatchewan’s energy future.
