Jill Ruep (Fiddler) is a proud Métis citizen of Saskatchewan, and a full-time Student Advisor committed to helping others discover their academic path. She is the creator of Ma Fii Lii Rasaad, which means “My Daughter’s Beads” in Michif, the beautiful language of the Métis peoples. A devoted wife and mother of three, she cherishes time with her family and embraces every opportunity to learn about her culture alongside her children.
Jill is on track to become the first Indigenous person in North America to develop a digital beading app specializing in Indigenous content. Her passion for beading is deeply rooted in tradition. Through her workshops, Jill shares traditional Indigenous teachings through storytelling, connecting beadwork to its cultural significance. She is committed to bridging the gap between tradition and technology, empowering others to express their creativity while staying rooted in community and cultural identity within the digital world.
