Brendan Reding

Brendan is the Regional Director for the National Research Council’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) in Saskatchewan. NRC IRAP has been driving business growth in innovative small and medium-sized business across Canada for over 75 years by helping firms build innovation capacity and take ideas to market. Brendan leads a local team of Client Engagement and Industrial Technology Advisors who provide expert advice and connections to business and R&D expertise in Canada, and where appropriate, provide financial contributions to growth-oriented companies involved in technology innovation. Brendan was the Director lead for NRC IRAP’s national Mining Sector Team (2015-2020) when Canada-US signed a MOU outlining mutual interest in resilient supply of critical minerals.

Brendan has spent more than 37 years as a professional engineer and manager in the private and public sectors. He was born and raised on a mixed farm in Saskatchewan and has worked in the oil and gas, manufacturing, and agri-value industries.
